Are you going to love me like jesus?

By

Hi yall. I finally found myself out of my depression. About to have to change meds again because of the current one is giving me headaches. But my mood is so much better!!!

But even with the meds the perimenopause rage is real. My husband told me I was being a witch since being on this medicine. Quite frankly, I didn’t feel like I was. I felt better mood wise.

The only time I felt ragey was the week before my period. I wish women could get the same grace and love when they are going thorugh things like we give our husbands. Like, are you going to love me through this like Jesus does and like did for you when you were struggling?

So many women have suffered in silence. Our grandmothers, our mothers, aunts, and so forth. There wasn’t much help or resource available. And yet I still don’t think society and women are properly educated on just what happens to a woman’s body and her mental state durining perimenopause and menopause.

Furthermore, I have been following the Lindsey Clancy case. Everyone failed her. I think her husband is responsible too. I think he had her so drugged up and helped harm his children and wife.

There are not villages anymore. Grandparents don’t watch kiddos anymore for working moms. Woman are alone. I was alone. My husband had to go back to work 4 days after our daughter was born. I was left with a 4 year old and a newborn. My husband had to work out of town so much to support us. I didn’t have a village. I didn’t realize I had postpartum depression.

I had never experienced depression before. It was very rough. I think the only reason I made it out alive was because of my sheer determination and will to care for my kids. But I was literally dying inside and felt like I was drowning. By the Grace of God he pulled me out.

But now I get depression more easily than ever. Perimenopause has really heightened by depression and anxiety.

I say all of this, to check on your friends. Especially your strong friends. They are holding so much in and holding up so many people. Postpartum depression is a very very real. If someone reaches out, take them seriously.

Ladies, we have to look out for one another. I love you all.
